The crowns, gowns and glamour have officially arrived in Cabo.
Miss Universe México 2026 is here in Los Cabos, bringing contestants from across Mexico to one of the country’s most beautiful destinations for several days of competition, fashion, entertainment and, of course, plenty of Cabo scenery.
And we have to say, Los Cabos makes a pretty spectacular backdrop for it.
The celebrations have already begun, with the official welcome dinner taking place on August 18 at The Rooftop 360° at Corazón Cabo Resort & Spa in Cabo San Lucas. The main events continue through August 29, when Los Cabos hosts the Miss Universe México 2026 Grand Final.
Miss Universe México Takes Over Cabo
On August 27, the contestants will take part in the Preliminary Competition at Corazón Cabo Resort & Spa, followed by the official after party at The Rooftop 360°.
Then, on August 28, The Rooftop 360° hosts the Swimsuit Competition, bringing one of the pageant’s signature events high above Cabo San Lucas with panoramic views of Médano Beach, Land’s End and the Sea of Cortez.
And then comes the big one.
The Miss Universe México 2026 Grand Final takes place August 29 in Los Cabos, where one of 32 contestants representing states across Mexico will be crowned and move forward to represent the country.
Baja California Sur Has Someone to Cheer For
There’s also a hometown favorite in the competition.
Selene Zazueta Gil is representing Baja California Sur this year, giving Los Cabos locals an extra reason to tune in.
Zazueta recently met with the community in Cabo San Lucas during a special “Más allá de la corona” meet-and-greet, where she spoke about her journey, preparation and what it means to represent Baja California Sur on a national stage.
So yes, we’ll admit it — we might be a little biased.
Why Los Cabos Is the Perfect Setting
Beauty competitions can be held almost anywhere.
But putting Miss Universe México in Los Cabos gives the event something a little different.
Here you have the desert meeting the sea, some of Mexico’s most beautiful resorts, incredible hospitality, restaurants, beaches and those unmistakable Cabo sunsets.
It’s glamorous without trying too hard.
And with contestants arriving from across the country, it also gives Los Cabos another opportunity to showcase Baja California Sur to a national and international audience.
