BREAKING NEWS: A rollover crash on the Los Cabos Tourist Corridor early Thursday left one person injured and prompted an emergency response near the area known locally as the “puente chaparro”, close to the Country Club.

According to reporting published September 17 by Tribuna de México, the accident occurred at approximately 12:05 a.m. on the roadway connecting Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo.

The report, citing the Cuerpo de Bomberos de Cabo San Lucas, said emergency personnel were dispatched with ambulance S83 and engine M66. One injured person was transported to a hospital for medical evaluation.

As of this report, authorities had not publicly released additional information about the injured person or the circumstances that led to the rollover.

Drivers should use extra caution

The Tourist Corridor is one of the busiest routes in Los Cabos, carrying residents, hotel and service workers, and visitors between Cabo San Lucas, the resort corridor and San José del Cabo. Nighttime crashes can quickly create traffic delays around bridges and underpasses, so motorists approaching an active emergency scene should slow down and follow directions from first responders.

Emergency contacts

For immediate emergencies in Mexico, call 911. Cabo San Lucas firefighters also operate an emergency WhatsApp line at 624 113 65 51, which the department says can be used to send a location and, when possible, a photo or video of an emergency. More information is available from Bomberos Cabo San Lucas.

The Cabo Magazine will update this story if authorities release additional confirmed information.
