World Wide Technology Championship Returns to Los Cabos This November

One of the biggest weeks on the Los Cabos golf calendar is officially set. The 2026 World Wide Technology Championship returns to Diamante Cabo San Lucas from November 2–8, bringing PGA TOUR golf back to the Tiger Woods-designed El Cardonal course.

LOS CABOS, BCS — Golf fans can mark their calendars.

The World Wide Technology Championship will return to Los Cabos for tournament week November 2 through November 8, 2026, with the four competitive PGA TOUR rounds scheduled for Thursday, November 5 through Sunday, November 8. The event will once again be played at El Cardonal at Diamante Cabo San Lucas.

This year’s tournament carries a little extra significance: 2026 marks the event’s 20th-anniversary edition. The championship made PGA TOUR history in 2007 when it became the first PGA TOUR event contested outside the United States and Canada.

What to Expect in 2026

The tournament is expected to feature 120 PGA TOUR professionals competing over 72 holes of stroke play for a $6 million purse. The winner will also receive 500 FedExCup points.

The course itself is part of the attraction. El Cardonal was designed by Tiger Woods Design, incorporating Diamante’s rolling terrain, wide fairways, traditional-style bunkering and dramatic Los Cabos scenery.

The most recent champion is Ben Griffin, who won the 2025 tournament at an impressive 29-under par, closing with a 9-under 63 to win by two strokes.

And this is bigger than four days of golf. Tournament organizers describe the championship as a full week of golf, entertainment and activities for spectators and families. The detailed 2026 schedule of events has not yet been releasedand is expected closer to tournament week.
