Starting today, Los Cabos once again becomes the center of the golf world as the 2025 World Wide Technology Championship officially opens at El Cardonal Golf Course at Diamante. This world-class course, designed by Tiger Woods through TGR Design, has hosted the tournament since 2023 and continues to draw some of the sport’s biggest names to Baja California Sur.
Over the next seven days, Cabo will host more than 120 PGA TOUR players from around the globe, competing for 500 FedExCup points in a 72-hole, stroke-play tournament. The field features major champions, emerging stars, and returning titleholders, making this one of the most exciting weeks of the year for sports fans and visitors alike.

This year’s lineup includes well-known players such as Tony Finau, Wyndham Clark, Matt Kuchar, and Brandt Snedeker, along with recent winners like Nick Taylor and Steven Fisk. Defending champion Austin Eckroat returns to try and make it back-to-back wins in Cabo, while past champions like Erik van Rooyen and Patton Kizzire are also back on the Baja coastline for another run at the trophy.
The tournament also highlights rising talent from the PGA TOUR University program, including Luke Clanton, Gordon Sargent, and David Ford—future stars making their professional debuts on one of golf’s biggest stages.
Latin American players are also well represented this year, including Mexico’s Emilio Gil Leyva, Emilio Gonzalez, and Alejandro Madariaga, along with Emiliano Grillo (Argentina), Nico Echavarria (Colombia), and Rafa Campos (Puerto Rico). Their participation reflects the growth of golf across Latin America and the importance of Cabo as an international destination for both play and competition.

But the week isn’t just about golf. The World Wide Technology Championship has become a signature event for the region, blending sports, community, and culture. Since its debut, the tournament has donated more than $3.8 million USDto local nonprofits and involves over 700 staff, 600 volunteers, and countless local businesses. It brings an estimated $25 million USD in annual economic impact to Los Cabos, while also sharing the beauty and hospitality of the region with a global audience.
Tournament week is filled with events, from Pro-Ams and live music to culinary showcases and wellness activities. Fans can enjoy unique hospitality options like Tacos on 17 by La Lupita, The Clubhouse at The Woods, and premium Skybox access, each offering a different way to experience the tournament.
General admission tickets start at $30 USD, with free entry for children under 15 when accompanied by a ticketed adult. Tickets and VIP packages are available at tickets. wwtchampionship.com.
As the action unfolds and the sun sets over the Pacific, Cabo continues to shine as one of the world’s top destinations for championship golf, community connection, and oceanfront lifestyle.
