Los Cabos starts Wednesday with hot, humid conditions while Hurricane Polo remains the weather system residents and visitors need to watch most closely through the rest of the week.
Daytime temperatures around the municipality are expected to reach the low 30s Celsius, with humidity making conditions feel hotter. Isolated showers or thunderstorms remain possible, while the larger concern offshore is the changing marine environment associated with Polo.
Polo remains offshore
The National Hurricane Center reported Polo as a Category 5 hurricane around midnight Wednesday, with maximum sustained winds near 165 mph (270 km/h) south of Zihuatanejo. The system is forecast to turn and weaken over the coming days, but the exact track and intensity remain subject to change.
For Los Cabos, the most immediate verified impact is on marine activity. Preventive small-vessel restrictions have been announced at the Port of Cabo San Lucas.
Residents and visitors should continue checking official forecasts rather than relying on individual model images circulating online. Travelers with fishing, yacht or sailing plans should confirm directly with operators.
