October is officially moving into high gear in Los Cabos. This week mixes the start of tournament season with food, music, wellness, nature and traditional Baja celebrations — plenty of reasons to leave the pool for a few hours.
1. Billfish 2026
Cabo San Lucas begins another major stretch of sportfishing with Billfish 2026, running October 7–11.
2. Los Cabos Bird Festival
The second Festival de las Aves de Los Cabos runs October 8–10 in San José del Cabo, putting the region’s birdlife and natural environment in focus.
3. Festival of Flavors
Don Manuel’s hosts visiting chef Travis Swikard October 8–10 for a limited culinary weekend at Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal.
4. Todos Santos Fiestas Patronales
Head north October 9–12 for one of the Pueblo Mágico’s traditional community celebrations.
5. Live jazz
Jazz on the Rocks continues its live-music programming, giving San José del Cabo an alternative to Cabo San Lucas nightlife.
6. Morning yoga
Hotel El Ganzo’s seasonal morning-yoga programming adds a waterfront wellness option to the week.
7. Taste Cabo differently
Resort culinary calendars around Los Cabos include tequila and mezcal tastings, cooking experiences and other hands-on food programming.
8. Visit the San José del Cabo Estuary
Bird Festival week is a particularly good excuse to rediscover one of the region’s most important natural spaces.
9. Watch Cabo’s fishing season come alive
Even non-anglers can experience the energy around the Cabo San Lucas Marina as tournament teams arrive.
10. Make a Todos Santos day of it
Combine the weekend festivities with galleries, shops and lunch in town — while remembering that the fiestas themselves are first and foremost a local community tradition.
Schedules can change, so confirm individual event times and reservation requirements directly with organizers before heading out.
