Cabo San Lucas is about to enter one of the most recognizable stretches on its annual calendar: October tournament season.
The official Baja California Sur tourism calendar lists the Billfish 2026 fishing tournament for October 7–11 in Cabo San Lucas. It is followed almost immediately by Bisbee’s Los Cabos Offshore, October 12–17, and then Bisbee’s Black & Blue, October 19–24.
Three major tournament weeks
The back-to-back schedule makes October much more than a fishing story. Tournament season changes the atmosphere around the Cabo San Lucas Marina as teams, crews, spectators and visiting anglers arrive for registration, weigh-ins and competition.
For restaurants, bars, charter operators and other businesses around the marina, it is also an important start to the busier fall travel season.
Bisbee’s in particular has become inseparable from Cabo’s international sportfishing identity. The Offshore tournament leads into the Black & Blue, one of the destination’s signature annual events.
Planning to be in Cabo?
Visitors do not need to be competing to experience tournament week. The marina is typically the center of activity, although anyone planning to attend should check official tournament schedules for current registration, weigh-in and spectator information.
With multiple events running consecutively, travelers should also expect a noticeably busier Cabo San Lucas waterfront through much of October.
