The World Wide Technology Championship Returns to Los Cabos in 2025
The World Wide Technology (WWT) Championship, Mexico’s premier PGA TOUR event, returns for its third year in Los Cabos from November 3–9, 2025. Hosted once again at El Cardonal at Diamante Cabo San Lucas, the first golf course designed by Tiger Woods, the tournament will welcome 120 of the world’s top players competing for 500 FedExCup points in a 72-hole stroke play format.
Confirmed PGA TOUR Stars
Among the first names confirmed are J.J. Spaun, current U.S. Open champion and World No. 7, and Ben Griffin, World No. 13, who has had a breakout season with victories at the Zurich Classic and Charles Schwab Challenge. Both Spaun and Griffin also represented the United States in this year’s Ryder Cup.
Joining them will be Austin Eckroat, the defending WWT Champion who lifted the iconic Cabo Arch Trophy in 2024 after a brilliant final round of 63. Known as the “Cabo Kid,” Eckroat has a unique history in Los Cabos, having also won the Cabo Collegiate in 2019 as an amateur.
Fans will also witness the return of Tony Finau, six-time PGA TOUR winner and Ryder Cup team member, and Luke Donald, Ryder Cup captain, former World No. 1, and winner of 11 titles on the PGA TOUR and DP World Tour.
A Global Golf Showcase
Tournament Director Joe Mazzeo highlighted the importance of this year’s field:
“It is an honor to welcome such great and important players to Los Cabos. We invite the community to join us for a week of world-class golf, entertainment, and excitement at this global event.”
With its combination of elite players, a stunning Pacific backdrop, and Los Cabos’ signature hospitality, the WWT Championship has established itself as one of the most anticipated stops on the PGA TOUR.
About the Venue
El Cardonal at Diamante Cabo San Lucas was inaugurated in 2014 as Tiger Woods’ first golf course design. Inspired by the classic courses of Southern California where Woods grew up, it combines strategic challenges with panoramic ocean views, desert dunes, and natural arroyos.
As part of the Diamante luxury community, visitors will enjoy not only world-class golf but also exclusive amenities, including a three-hectare Crystal Lagoon®, luxury residences, restaurants, spas, and six miles of scenic trails.
Watch Live & Worldwide
The tournament will be televised across Golf Channel (U.S. and Latin America) and broadcast globally in more than 200 countries and 26 languages, reaching millions of viewers.
