Palmilla Golf Club

Palmilla Golf Club is one of the foundational names in Los Cabos golf. Jack Nicklaus created the original Mountain and Arroyo nines in the early 1990s, and the Ocean nine later expanded Palmilla into a 27-hole complex. The three nines allow the golf experience to change considerably depending on the day’s routing.

Access deserves special attention because Palmilla no longer operates as a simple all-nines public-resort facility. Outside booking options still exist, but since January 1, 2025 the Mountain and Arroyo nines have been reserved for club members and One&Only Palmilla guests. Independent golfers should therefore confirm exactly what course combination they are booking.

The 27-hole format means Palmilla cannot be summarized by one yardage, course rating or slope. Those figures change with the selected tees and the two nines paired for the day. The access rules also differ, so confirming the routing is as important as confirming the tee time.

Palmilla was the first Jack Nicklaus Signature golf design in Latin America. The three nines use changing elevation, desert terrain and Sea of Cortés vistas to create distinct experiences. The Ocean nine was added later, expanding the original 18-hole club to 27 holes.

Rather than one single routing, Palmilla’s identity comes from the contrast among its three nines. Elevated desert holes, canyon-like terrain and ocean-facing views give golfers multiple versions of the Palmilla experience.

Palmilla maintains a full golf facility with practice and resort-golf services. Golfers should confirm which nines and practice amenities are available under their specific booking access.
